Trachycarpus Wagnerianus are more resistant to winds (wind burn) than Fortunei and are a useful plant for the small garden due to the smaller size. Similar to Trachycarpus Fortunei except the leaves are smaller, with the segments more rigid and up to 60cm across. Trachycarpus Wagnerianus (Small Leaf Chinese Fan Palm). It grows only to about 5m while Fortunei tends to grow about 12m high. Plants will take harder frosts than Fortunei also, making them ideal for growing in cooler climates.
